The two buildings rise from the Tuscan panorama as imposing yet refined presences. The concept was driven by the desire to transform this historic residence into a contemporary, welcoming, and fully tailored space. The renovation preserved the dialogue with the original architecture, enhancing authentic features such as local materials and artisanal details, while integrating modern solutions designed to offer comfort and functionality
The brick-vaulted living area was enhanced through a carefully designed lighting project, which delicately emphasized the volumes without visually intruding. The result creates evocative atmospheres, highlighting the materiality and visual continuity of the spaces. The wide staircase connecting the two floors of the main building is cantilevered, with wooden steps and crystal balustrades. Its geometry introduces a light and contemporary element, discreetly integrating into the setting while lending modernity to the interiors.
The fireplace, conceived as a permeable feature, allows depth and visual continuity between rooms, becoming a focal point that unites warmth and lightness. Every space was designed with a bespoke approach, aiming to create an elegant and harmonious atmosphere, in perfect balance between memory and innovation. The result is a home that preserves the charm of tradition while naturally embracing contemporary living, becoming a place to be experienced in an intimate and authentic way. The creation of the pool, positioned symmetrically between the two buildings, becomes a scenic and harmonious focal point of the property, reinforcing the balance between architecture and landscape.
